COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The case of a missing 20-year-old Reynoldsburg woman has
received national attention recently, yet the Julie Popovich case is far
from being the only Central Ohio mysterious missing persons case.
It doesn't take much searching to find a case as troubling as Popovich's
disappearance, but this case isn't generating nearly as much national
interest, NBC 4's Holly Hollingsworth reported.
Tony Luzio Jr., 25, was last seen July 4 in Delaware County and Popovich,
last seen leaving a North High Street bar almost two weeks ago, is being
featured on numerous national news networks. There were reports that
Popovich's ID was found near Hoover Reservoir Wednesday, but that has not
been confirmed by police.
"It should be news, and whatever. But the thing that I worry about is
my son being missing has taken a back seat and I still want to keep it out
there (and) let people know that he is still missing," said Tony
Luzio Sr., who's a sergeant with the Columbus Police Department.
Tony Luzio Sr. said there have been no signs of his son or his silver
Honda Civic for nearly two months. He makes it through each day, in part,
by spending time with young men his son used to spend time with.
"My reaching out to him, is ... through his friends," he said.
The Luzio case is still very active. Luzio Sr. was searching through
information from his son's computer, looking for clues.
"Male, female, it doesn't matter. I think ... each case is
important," he said.
Like the Popovich case, there are no obvious answers.
"I pray to God that they find her and everything's OK," Luzio
said. "But, I hope ... that for my son, too."
Other Unsolved Missing Persons Cases
In another forgotten case, 47-year-old Crystal Wilson's disappearance is
still unsolved by Columbus police.
"I keep getting phone calls from people telling me, 'It'll be OK.
She's just probably taking her a break.' No. She's not taking no break.
Something's wrong. My mom's missing," said Tony Graves, Wilson's son.
Like the Popovich case, homicide detectives have assisted in the
investigation.
Wilson disappeared after attending a Christmas party at North 20th Street
and Gibbard Avenue in December 2003.
There are several similar unsolved cases that have left investigators
baffled.
Kelli Ann Gilliland, 17, has been missing since December 2004.
Mia Losey, 21, has been missing since December 2002.
Grace Bricker, 8, vanished in May 2005.
Ashley Lyn Howley, 20, was last seen in June 2004.
Patti Adkins vanished after her shift at the Honda plant in Marysville in
July 2001.
A reward for information leaving to Popovich was increased to $50,000 and
the reward for information leading to Tony Luzio Jr. stands at $12,000.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (614) 645-TIPS.

Reward Increased For Missing Powell Man
Crime Stoppers Offering $12,000

POWELL, Ohio -- Central Ohio Crime Stoppers has increased the reward for
information about a missing local man, NBC 4 reported.
Tony Luzio Jr. was last seen at a home off Sawmill Parkway very early in
the morning on July 4.
Thanks to anonymous donations, the reward was increased from $5,000 to
$12,000.
Delaware County Sheriff Al Myers said his investigators are about to
restart the investigation, and re-interview all those they've previously
talked to.
"We have done physical searching," Myers said. "Columbus
has assisted with physical searching of water areas (and) roadways. We've
had numerous telephone leads that we've followed up on, as far away as
Canada."
All of their leads have come up empty.
There's been no activity on Luzio's bank account or cell phone.
He was driving a 2004 Silver Honda Civic, with four doors and license
plate number DCA-5615.
Anyone with information should call (614) 645-TIPS. Callers can remain
