DELAWARE, Ohio -- Authorities in Delaware County are searching for a
25-year-old man who has been missing since the Fourth of July.
Anthony J. "Tony" Luzio Jr., of Powell, was last seen at about 4
a.m. July 4 in the area of Rutherford Road and Bayhill Drive in Southern
Delaware County. He attended a party in the area.
Witnesses said Luzio might have been intoxicated when he left the party in
his car.
Authorities have searched the O'Shaughnessy Dam area for the past couple
of days, NBC 4's Barbra Flannigan reported.
A family spokesman said the family is distraught.
"Tony, just come home," family friend Mark Ely said. "I
don't know if you're just embarrassed, if something happened and you're
worried about coming home. We just want you to come home safely, that's
all."
Luzio has worked at Limited Corp. for six years. His family said he has no
history of illness, or has shown any signs of drug or alcohol abuse.
Luzio is 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown hair and
brown eyes.
He was driving a silver, four-door 2004 Honda Civic with license plate
number DCA 5615. The car also has a Bush-Cheney sticker on the rear
window.
Luzio's father, Tony Luzio Sr., is a sergeant with the Columbus Police
Department. Police do not believe his disappearance has anything to do
with his father's occupation.
Anyone with information on Luzio's whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers
at (877) 645-TIPS or the Delaware County Sheriff's Office at (740)
833-2890.
Luzio's family and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of up to $2,000.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A Columbus police sergeant made a personal appeal to the
public Friday in an effort to find his missing 25-year-old son, NBC 4's
Holly Hollingsworth reported.
Tony Luzio Jr. was last seen in the early-morning hours of July 4 at an
acquaintance's home not far from Rutherford Road off Sawmill Parkway in
Delaware County.
Deputies have found no trace of Luzio or his car. He has not used his ATM
card.
Luzio's father hopes someone can help.
"Because of my profession, you tend to think the worst has
happened," Sgt. Tony Luzio Sr. said. "We certainly hope that's
not the case here and that he's just having some issues that we need to
deal with.
"I've dealt with this situation in my career numerous times, and
always thought that I could feel what people felt," he said. "I
just can't explain the pain."
The missing man's father, sister and mother still hold out hope that he
will return.
"We will take care of him, no matter what," said his mother,
Carla Luzio. "We just love him so much and we miss him so much, and
he needs to come home. Because we're having a hard time going on without
him, and we really, really need him. And we need the public's help."
The reward being offered for information has increased to $5,000.
Luzio is 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown hair and
brown eyes.
He was driving a silver, four-door 2004 Honda Civic with license plate
number DCA 5615. The car also has a Bush-Cheney sticker on the rear window
and a Fraternal Order of Police medallion on the rear plate.
