at his home around 10 or 11 a.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Debbie
J. George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department.
He was expected to go to Smithfield to have a tire fixed
but police are unsure whether he ever got there.

Police are searching for
a missing 69-year-old Chucka-tuck man who disappeared
from his home Tuesday morning.
Henry R. Mills, of
the 5900 block of Chuckatuck Lane, was last seen at
his home around 10 or 11 a.m. Tuesday, said Lt. Debbie
J. George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police
Department. He was expected to go to Smithfield to
have a tire fixed but police are unsure whether he
ever got there.
Mills, who is white, is 5 feet 11 inches tall and 165
pounds. He has blue eyes and gray hair which is
balding.
Mills was operating a dark-blue 1989 Mercury
Mountaineer, with Virginia license plates YHG9058,
George said.
Although Mills does not have any serious medical
conditions, the disappearance is out of character for
him, she said.
Also, police are still searching for Melinda Copeland,
a 22-year-old woman missing from her Manning Road home
since Jan. 23.
Copeland has reportedly been seen by people around
town but has not returned home, George said. She
suffers from schizophrenia and is without her
medication.
Copeland is a black female, who is 5 feet 6 inches
tall and 150 pounds.
Anyone who knows where Mills or Copeland may be is
asked to call the Suffolk Emergency Communications at
923-2350 or Detective David Burke at 923-2159.
